“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”- Mahatma Gandhi

After wandering for a few decades, I now call New York City “home.” Born in England, raised in Bermuda and educated in America, I have spent the last twenty-odd years clutching both camera and passport. Although trained as a lawyer, with an Honors B.A. from the University of Florida and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, photography and travel remain my inspiration. There are few things that offer such experiences and it is through the viewfinder of a 35mm and digital SLR that I have seen much of the world. From night operations in the mountains of Afghanistan with the French Foreign Legion to out-driving Greek Intelligence services to running the streets of New York City with Black Bloc anarchists, my camera has fueled my vision-quest. Photography has made of me a more earnest traveler. Through it, I have learned patience, humility and compassion. These virtues, I seek to convey through my work.

My work has been displayed on the walls of museums and galleries in Sydney, Rome, New York, Lisbon, London and San Francisco in addition to features by international publications including The New York Times, Time, Vanity Fair, Travel & Leisure, Forbes, the Guardian, National Geographic, Lonely Planet and Penguin Books. I have completed an internship with the world-renowned VII Photo Agency, continue to do freelance photojournalism (represented by Corbis), travel and tourism work (contributor to Getty Images), architectural photography (re:photony) and am also an instructor at Digital Photo Academy in New York. Professional affiliations include membership in the National Press Photographer's Association with media accreditation by the NYPD, the United Nations, N.A.T.O. and the White House. On my travels working on client commissions, I have been fortunate to have met artisans and craftsmen/women who labor to create ritual art and sculpture. dharma emporium is my outlet for bringing these treasures to a Western audience, one that increasingly embraces the dharma and a more serene way of life.
