With the murder of George Floyd in May 2020, America has again erupted in anguish and anger. A diverse coalition of Blacks, Whites, Asians, Latinx, Gay, Straight, Muslim, Christian and Jews have poured into the streets to protest the brutality of Blacks at the hands of police. The anger is palpable. The frustration pronounced.
Despite a raging global pandemic, Americans are wrestling with a history of discrimination. The protests and resulting looting have widened the ideological fissures as the nation approaches a sure-to-be divisive presidential election.
At some point, this nation will face a reckoning on race relations. Today may be that day......
